Brand strategy for the transformation of the former Nozema broadcasting station

In the rural heart of the Netherlands lies the former Dutch broadcasting station, colloquially known as Nozema. The monumental building and surrounding grounds are on the eve of a complete transformation. The complex will be turned into a work and meeting environment where visitors will experience how innovative interior concepts and materials create healthy indoor spaces.

The complex has a rich history. The former broadcast station is an important remnant of the early days of spoken mass communication in the Netherlands. In the surrounding landscape, you can still see the anchors of the former transmission masts. A bunker built at the height of the Cold War lies directly next to the listed building.

Ultimately, the former Nozema complex will be transformed into a publicly accessible landscape that will benefit the community. The ensemble of buildings and the park will feature special meeting places for people to work together, hold meetings or soak up art and culture.

Silo supports Legit Forum Group, the initiators, by developing a new brand strategy for the area, which will form the basis for the visual identity and spatial branding. Designs for the renovation of the existing buildings and several new pavilions have been made by Architecture practice Braaksma & Roos. Bureau Nieuwe Gracht developed the landscape design.
