Else Henkes starts research internship at Silo

Else Henkes has started as a trainee at Silo. Over the next five months, she will be working on her graduation thesis for a degree in Communication & Multimedia Design at the Haagse Hogeschool. The research focuses on digital solutions with a social impact.

“I’m going to investigate whether I can deploy digital design solutions to create more social cohesion between the residents of Rotterdam Zuidwijk,” says Else. “By researching a subject with great social importance, I hope to contribute to solving certain problems and thereby make people happier.”

During the project, the research output will be translated into concrete user requirements and fitting digital design. The research project is directly related to the interests of Else: User Experience Design and Interaction Design.

Else is from Zwolle and has been living in The Hague for five years now. In addition to her studies, she is a rowing enthusiast and was on the board of the Pelargos Student Rowing Association in The Hague. “I love the fact that I will be working on my graduation thesis at Silo, I’m looking forward to everything I’m going to learn from working within the team.”
