An outstanding visitor experience for the new Feyenoord Stadium

The city of Rotterdam will have an iconic new stadium, situated beautifully on the waterfront. The permit application for the new Feyenoord Stadium was submitted on 6 May 2020.

Silo is involved in this phase of the development as an advisor on branding and wayfinding. Together with amongst others Feyenoord City, OMA and Lola Landscape we are working on a safe and unforgettable visitor experience in the new stadium.

The stadium is situated along the artery of the city, the Maas river. From a raised platform around the stadium, you will have a great view of the city and the water. At this vibrant place, supporters and fans will come together prior to a match or event. The stadium sits solemnly in the middle of the square: a perfect bowl shape supported by twelve robust cores.

A sold-out Feyenoord Stadium will host over 63,000 spectators. The atmosphere and appearance at a match, concert, or other event are an important part of the visitor experience. Moreover, it is essential to ensure that each visitor – despite the large crowds – can find their seat safely, easily, and quickly. An integral vision on branding and wayfinding creates an optimal overall experience before, during, and after a visit to the stadium.
