Silo shortlisted for Dezeen Awards, Frame Awards and Dutch Creativity Awards

Once again, the ‘space-age’ cycle parking facility at The Hague Central Station has been recognised by the juries of important design and architecture awards. The project is shortlisted for the Dezeen Awards (twice), the Frame Awards (also twice) and a finalist for the Dutch Creativity Awards.

Dezeen Awards is the benchmark for international design excellence and the ultimate accolade for architects and designers everywhere. Silo is shortlisted in the categories Civic and Cultural Interiors and Graphic Design. The winners, judged by a panel of experts, will be announced in November. Readers of Dezeen can vote for their favorite project until 11 October.

The Frame Awards identify and honour the world’s best interior projects, but also the people behind them. The work is judged by industry stakeholders, evaluating all submissions on four criteria: innovation, functionality, creativity and sustainability. The bicycle parking garage The Hague has made the shortlist in the categories Governmental Interiors and Best Use of Light. Winners will be announced on 14 October.

Each year, the best creative work in the Netherlands is awarded the Dutch Creativity Awards, organised by ADCN. The aim is to create an open and inclusive platform to celebrate all creative makers, thinkers and doers in the Netherlands. Silo’s project is a finalist in the category Design – Spatial. Winners of the iconic Lamps will be announced on 29 September.

The design for the underground bicycle parking garage was developed by Silo in collaboration with studiomarsman. The groundbreaking concept transforms parking your bike into an unexpected experience. The combination of light and graphics makes you feel part of the city skyline. The project has won previous ADC Cubes, Pencils by The One Show and D&AD Awards, the AZ Award, and more accolades.
