Wayfinding for Depot finalist for ADC Awards

Silo is a finalist for this year’s ADC New York Awards. The design for the visitor experience and wayfinding for Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen has been selected in the Architecture, Interior and Environmental Design category. The winning works will be announced on Wednesday, May 17th 2023.

Wayfinding for wanderers

Housing over 151.000 objects, Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen is the world’s first publicly accessible art depot. Inside the radical building, it feels as if you have accidentally walked into the staff entrance of a world-class museum.

The integral visitor experience offers activating, unusual new views on art and encourages discovery and collection. While obfuscating the distinction between back-of-house and front-of-house, all digital (touch) screens, wayfinding and signage element have all been designed as an extension of the utilitarian architecture: neutral, modular and functional.
