Bicycle Parking Garage The Hague winner of three Dezeen Awards

The Bicycle Parking Garage The Hague has been named Civic and cultural interior of the year, Graphic design of the year and the overall Design project of the year 2021 by the Dezeen Awards jury. The project, developed by Silo and studiomarsman, was applauded as a “very brave design that jumps out.”

The annual Dezeen Awards identify the world’s best architecture, interiors and design; as a benchmark for international design excellence, they are the ultimate accolade for architects and designers everywhere. The awards programme is organised by Dezeen, the world’s most popular and influential architecture and design website.

Out of 1,314 entries for the interiors categories, 11 winning projects were selected by a master jury consisting of London-based architect Ben Allen, Julie Eizenberg (KoningEizenberg Architecture), Amit Gupta (STIR), Petra Blaisse (Inside Outside), South London-based interior designer Alexandria Dauley and interior designer Susie McLaren (SHH).

This is an impactful proposal with great infrastructure benefits and mobility. The clean and dynamic graphics enhance user experience and attractive interaction.”

In the bicycle parking garage, parking your bike is transformed into a museum-like experience. The immersive design provides more comfort and a greater sense of security for the thousands of daily users. Moreover, it positions the city of The Hague as a bicycle-friendly city. The project has received over ten design and architecture awards and nominations.
