The role

As a spatial designer at Silo, you will develop concepts and spatial designs with a strong narrative. You will work on projects where interior design, wayfinding, branding and architecture come together, ranging from branded environments and public buildings to workplaces and environments in healthcare and hospitality.

You think in stories, design with a strong sense of context, scale and materiality, and know how to visualise ideas convincingly. You will collaborate with graphic, spatial and strategic colleagues on designs that are both conceptually refined and feasible to realise.

What you will be doing

  • Developing spatial concepts and designs for branded environments and public spaces
  • Translating brand strategies and stories into spatial experiences, interior concepts and wayfinding
  • Visualising and developing designs from concept through to execution
  • Presenting ideas and designs to clients
  • Guide the detailing and realisation in collaboration with designers, architects and production partner
  • Overseeing implementation in collaboration with designers, architects and production partners
  • Contributing to new projects with fresh ideas and strong visual proposals

Your profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience at a design or architecture studio
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, interior design or spatial design
  • A strong and original portfolio demonstrating expertise in spatial/graphic design for public and commercial buildings
  • Analytical, conceptually strong, with a good sense of visual impact and coherence
  • Confident presentation skills, able to inspire and convince clients
  • Knowledge of and experience with CAD software, 3D modelling, materialisation and production
  • Effective communication skills; you know how to articulate and present your ideas clearly
  • Brings energy, enthusiasm and direction to the team; a natural motivator who inspires others to get the best out of their work
  • Independent, curious, with an eye for detail and a love of craftsmanship
  • Good command of Dutch and English
